Campus security and safety requires cooperation, support and active participation from all members of the York community is essential for success. You can help protect yourself and others by following security procedures and contacting Security Services for both urgent and non-urgent matters.
For situations where people or property is at immediate risk, for example a medical emergency, fire, sexual assault, or a crime in progress, call 911 immediately, and then contact Security Services at 416-736-5333 or ex. 33333. Security Officials will respond directly to your call and work with police to deal with the emergency.
For urgent matters, such as non-life threatening incidents, thefts, potential hazards, or if you observe a suspicious person or persons, call 416-736-5333 or ex. 33333.
For non-urgent matters and service enquiries, such as general security information, broken windows or minor floods, or building or room access, please call 416-650-8000 or ex. 58000.
